Zavier...

....I am often asked to photograph babies, my favourite subject to photograph, and it is always such a happy time, proud parents, excited siblings, such joy at the new arrival and I always feel very priviliged to be able to share in these special moments and to create wonderful images for the family to always treasure.

Sometimes, however, this normally happy time is tinged with sadness.

No session has even come close in terms of how important my photographs would be to the family. I was blown away by the love and joy I experienced in the presence of this amazing family on the two occasions I was asked to photograph a very special little man, Zavier.

No one ever really knew how long Zavier would be with us, and he fought bravely against his life-limiting condition and gave and received so much love and happiness during his short life...

Zavier sadly lost his fight for life in the arms of his family on December 23rd 2011, aged 14 months.

Zavier you are a star and you will shine on in the hearts of all those who knew you forever....
